Tottenham to beat Arsenal in chase for striker

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to take advantage of Arsenal’s famous transfer dithering by activating the release clause of Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy.

 

The 27-year-old striker has won many plaudits since moving to England. First for QPR before a successful loan spell at Newcastle United last season. Remy scored 14 goals and assisted 3 more in his 26 appearances last term and new manager Mauricio Pochettino wants him to lead the line at White Hart Lane. The France international has long been on Spurs’ radar. Harry Redknapp, who bought him to Rangers, spent months trying to convince chairman Daniel Levy that he was worth the money while he was in charge.
