QPR Set To Sign Fer

Queens Park Rangers are set to complete the signing of Norwich midfielder Leroy Fer for a fee rumoured to be £8 million. The Dutch international is expected to be manager Harry Redknapp’s second midfield capture of the summer along with the £5 million addition of Jordan Mutch from Cardiff.


The powerful midfielder who scored 4 goals in 32 appearances for the Canaries last season will add much needed strength and power to a midfield which already has the likes of Mutch, Joey Barton and Alejandro Faurlin. Since Norwich’s relegation from the top tier of English football, Fer’s future has been the subject of constant speculation as many clubs around Europe sought the Dutch midfielder; however it is QPR who look to have clinched the deal.

AFC Bournemouth – Realistic Promotion Contenders?

After the opening two fixtures of the football league season, its Eddie Howe’s AFC Bournemouth who sit top of the pyramid with maximum points after following up their 4-0 hammering of Huddersfield with a battling 1-0 victory over Championship newcomers Brentford on Saturday.

Arsenal strong favourites to sign French striker

Arsenal are strong favourites to sign Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy this summer.


Manager Arsene Wenger has prioritised the signing of a striker before next season and Loic Remy is his number one target. The QPR striker has spent this season on loan at Newcastle United. His 14 goals in 26 appearances have attracted attention from Arsenal, who would surely have been more involved in the title fight with a top striker.


The 27-year-old is also wanted by Newcastle, however manager Alan Pardew concedes a permanent move is unlikely. Arsenal are 4/6 favourites to sign the French striker, Newcastle are in an unlikely second on 10/1. Remy joined the Geordies last summer and has been a rare positive in what the fans see as a disappointing season.

QPR want permanent Ravel deal

Queens Park Rangers want to sign on loan West Ham United midfielder Ravel Morrison permanently at the end of the season.


The ex-Manchester United midfielder enjoyed a successful start to the 2013/14 season with West Ham; the playmaker’s form was so impressive that he was even tipped for a place in Roy Hodgson’s World Cup squad. Although there were early signs of promise, Sam Allardyce began to drop Morrison and the midfielder looked for frequent football with Queens Park Rangers.


Since that move, Ravel Morrison has scored 6 goals in 14 games for Harry Redknapp’s side, whilst also earning the player of the month award in March. Should QPR win promotion via the play offs, Redknapp is sure to move for the promising midfielder, that is if West Ham are willing to sell.
